Ingredients


For the Cajun Beef:
1½ lbs ground beef
1–1½ tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil (optional, if beef is lean)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt & black pepper, to taste
For the Stroganoff Sauce & Pasta:
12 oz refrigerated cheese or beef tortellini
2 tbsp butter
1 small onion, finely diced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1½ cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
2 oz cream cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp flour or cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Optional Garnish:
Fresh parsley
Extra Parmesan
A dash of Cajun seasoning


Instructions


Step 1: Cook the Tortellini
Bring salted water to a boil. Cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Cajun Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil if needed.
Brown ground beef with Cajun seasoning, garlic, salt, and pepper until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Sauté Vegetables
In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté onions and mushrooms until softened and golden.
Step 4: Make the Stroganoff Sauce
Sprinkle flour over veggies (optional, for thickening) and stir for 1 minute.
Pour in beef broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
Add heavy cream, cream cheese, Parmesan, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Step 5: Combine Beef & Tortellini
Return cooked Cajun beef to the skillet and mix into the sauce.
Gently fold in cooked tortellini, making sure everything is coated in creamy sauce.
Simmer 2–3 minutes to heat through. Adjust thickness with a splash of broth or cream if needed.
Step 6: Serve & Garnish
Plate the creamy Cajun beef tortellini, then sprinkle with parsley, extra Parmesan, and a pinch of Cajun seasoning.
