Spinach Garlic Meatballs Stuffed with Mozzarella
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
12 small mozzarella cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
Marinara sauce (for serving)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix ground meat, spinach, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
Scoop a spoonful of the meat mixture, flatten it, place a mozzarella cube in the center, and form a ball around it.
Repeat until all meatballs are shaped.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the meatballs for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
Transfer to the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until fully cooked.
Warm marinara sauce and serve the meatballs with a spoonful of sauce on top.!!~
