Shrimp Cocktail

 

 

Ingredients

  • 500g of cooked and peeled shrimp
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • ½ cup of ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon of hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 finely chopped garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, lemon juice, and garlic.
  2. Stir until you get a smooth and creamy sauce.
  3. Add the cooked shrimp and mix carefully.
  4. Add the red onion and cilantro, and mix lightly.
  5. Adjust with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve in individual glasses and garnish with lemon slices.

Notes

  • Use medium-sized shrimp for better texture.
  • If you add avocado, do so just before serving.
  • Cool for best flavor results.
