Ingredients:
250g beef (sirloin or ribeye), sliced into thin strips
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, snow peas)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the ingredients: Slice the beef into thin strips and season with salt and pepper. Cut the mixed vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
Heat the wok or large skillet: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Cook the beef: Add the beef to the wok and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
Cook the aromatics: In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic and stir-fry until the onion is translucent.
Add the mixed vegetables: Add the mixed vegetables to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the wok: Add the cooked beef back to the wok and stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil.
Stir-fry everything together: Stir-fry everything together for another minute, ensuring the beef and vegetables are well coated with the sauce.
Season and garnish: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Serve: Serve the beef stir-fry hot over steamed rice or noodles.
