Mediterranean Sesame Feta Block

Ingredients


1 block of feta cheese (about 8 oz / 225 g)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1 tbsp black sesame seeds

1 tsp crushed dried oregano

Optional: a small pinch of chili flakes or lemon zest for extra flavor

Instructions

Prepare the Feta
Pat the feta block dry with a paper towel and place it on a piece of foil or parchment paper.

Add the Coating
Brush the top and sides of the feta with olive oil, then drizzle the honey evenly over it.

Add the Toppings
Sprinkle sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, and oregano all over the feta, gently pressing them so they stick to the surface.

Bake
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the feta (still on the foil or parchment) on a baking tray.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, just until the edges start to turn golden and the feta softens slightly.

Serve
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with pita bread, olives, or sliced vegetables.

Serving Tip

This baked sesame feta pairs beautifully with a drizzle of extra honey or olive oil before serving. It’s perfect as an appetizer or part of a Mediterranean mezze platter.
