Ingredients:
- 900 g of English potatoes (small potatoes) – opt for larger potatoes
- 250 g freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 chopped onion
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil or olive oil
Preparation method:
Peel the potatoes and cook them whole until they are soft, but without falling apart, as they will be grated later.
Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion until wilted. Set aside in a separate container.
Then, grate the potatoes on the medium part of the grater and place them in the same frying pan where the onion was sautéed, using the remaining fat.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste, add the browned onion and grated Parmesan cheese.Â
Mix well until the ingredients are well incorporated, forming an elastic dough. Remove and set aside.
Heat a little more oil in the frying pan, add the mixture and smooth the surface, shaping it to make it uniform. Fry until golden on both sides.
Cut into slices and serve immediately, either as a side dish for your meals or even on its own, as a quick snack.
