Greek Beef Wraps with Tzatziki Sauce
Ingredients:
For the beef:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp ground cumin
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
For the tzatziki sauce:
1 cup Greek yogurt
½ cucumber, grated and squeezed of excess water
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
For assembling wraps:
4 pita breads or flatbreads
1 cup lettuce or mixed greens
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
¼ red onion, thinly sliced
¼ cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
Directions:
Cook the beef:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
Add ground beef, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 6–8 minutes, breaking apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
Prepare the tzatziki sauce:
In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper until well combined. Chill until serving.
Assemble the wraps:
Warm pita or flatbreads.
Layer with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and beef.
Spoon tzatziki over the top and sprinkle with feta if desired.
Serve:
Fold wraps and enjoy warm.
