Don’t eat bread! Mix oats and water: delicious without flour, milk, eggs, or butter! Easy and healthy

Vegan wrap that is flourless, gluten-free and super healthy.

Looking for a light, nutritious, and inclusive alternative to bread for breakfast or snacks? This vegan wrap recipe is perfect for you!

Made only with oats, water, and olive oil, it contains no wheat flour, gluten, milk, eggs, or butter — meaning it’s 100% vegan and free from ingredients of animal origin.

In addition to being practical, this pasta is rich in fiber, has a low glycemic index and also contributes to satiety, cholesterol control and good bowel function.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt to taste or seasonings of your choice (optional)

Preparation method:

In a blender, blend the oats with the boiling water until you get a smooth, homogeneous mixture.

Transfer this mixture to a saucepan over low heat. Add the olive oil and, if desired, a pinch of salt or other seasonings of your choice.

Stir constantly for about 3 minutes, until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the bottom of the pan.

Remove the dough from the heat and let it cool slightly. Divide into four portions and shape into balls with your hands.

Using a rolling pin, roll out each portion between two pieces of parchment paper until it forms thin discs, in the typical shape of wraps or pita bread.

Heat a nonstick skillet over low heat and lightly grease with olive oil.

Place a disc of dough on top and cook for a few minutes until it is firm and releases easily from the pan.

Carefully flip and cook the other side. Repeat the process with the remaining portions.

Filling suggestion

The dough is neutral and can be used with sweet or savory fillings.

A delicious suggestion is a white cheese pâté with olive oil, salt, chives, and dehydrated onion.

It also goes well with ricotta, cottage cheese, grated carrots, beets, or even fruit if you prefer a sweet version.

This recipe makes four delicious, healthy, and super versatile wraps.

The dough is neutral, elastic and very similar to industrial wraps — only much healthier.
