Clove Tea

 

Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 cup fresh water (240 ml)
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 inch ginger, grated or sliced Optional for added flavor
  • 1 stick cinnamon Optional for added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey To taste, optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small pot.
  2. Add the whole cloves to the boiling water.
  3. If using ginger or cinnamon, add them now.
  4. Cover the pot and let the mixture steep for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into a cup to remove the cloves and any ginger or cinnamon.
  6. Stir in raw honey if desired.
  7. Enjoy your clove tea warm!

Notes

Adjust steeping time for strength preference. Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon or lemon slice for a twist. Pair with cookies or fresh fruit for an afternoon treat.
