Ingredients
  • 500 g green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons (60 g) all-purpose flour
  • Seasoning: 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon ground red pepper (or sweet paprika)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Cabbage: Shred the cabbage finely. Some versions suggest boiling the shredded cabbage for a few minutes and then draining it well to soften it before mixing.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent and fragrant. Let them cool slightly.
  3. Mix the Batter: In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, sautéed onions, and garlic. Stir in the eggs until well combined, then gradually add the flour and seasonings.
  4. Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Scoop a spoonful of the mixture into the pan, flattening it into a small patty. Fry for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Serving Suggestion
These fritters are traditionally served with a garlic yogurt sauce or sour cream dip, often garnished with fresh dill or parsley
