Better than meat! Why didn’t I learn this chickpea recipe sooner?

I mix chickpeas with eggs and make a delicious meal for everyone.

This dish is tasty, nutritious and easy to make, ideal for those looking for something economical. 

Although chickpeas are less valued than other legumes , they are a rich source of protein and vegetable properties, making them a healthy option for your meals.

Plus, you don’t need to have any cooking experience, just follow the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients:

    • 400 g chickpeas
    • 2 eggs
    • ½ chopped or grated onion
    • Salt to taste
    • Black pepper to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • Turmeric to taste
  • Green herbs to taste (parsley, chives and/or coriander)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder for cake (Royal)
  • 3 tablespoons of wheat or rice flour
  • 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs

Preparation method:

Soak the chickpeas in water for 4 hours. Then drain and place them in a bowl. Add the eggs and process with a blender until you get a paste.

This step can also be done in a blender or food processor.

Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, paprika, turmeric, grated onion and chives. 

Then add the baking powder, wheat flour (or rice flour) and breadcrumbs, mixing well with a spoon until all the ingredients are integrated.

Grease your hands with water and shape portions of the dough into balls, slightly flattening them. 

Heat some oil in a pan and fry the dumplings until golden brown. 

Remove them and place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. 

Serve with your favorite sauce.
