Spicy Dumpling Soup
Ingredients
For the Dumplings (Wontons):

1 pack wonton wrappers (round or square)

200 g (7 oz) ground chicken, pork, or shrimp (or mix)

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
1 tsp grated ginger
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Broth:

4 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

2 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tbsp chili oil (adjust to heat preference)

1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tsp grated ginger
-
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt to taste
For Garnish:

Fresh chopped green onions
-
Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions

Make the Dumpling Filling:

In a bowl, mix ground meat, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Wrap the Dumplings:

Place 1 tsp filling in the center of a wonton wrapper.

Wet the edges with water, fold in half (triangle/half-moon), and seal tightly. Repeat with remaining filling.

Prepare the Broth:

Heat a pot with a little sesame oil. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.

Add chicken broth, soy sauce, chili oil, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.

Cook the Dumplings:

Gently drop dumplings into the simmering broth. Cook 5–7 minutes until dumplings float and filling is cooked through.

Serve:

Ladle dumplings and broth into bowls.

Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro.
