Homemade Crunchwrap Supreme
You Will Need:
Base Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 6 large burrito-size flour tortillas
  • 6 small tostada shells (or crunchy corn tortillas)
  • 1–1½ cups shredded cheddar and/or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1–1½ cups shredded lettuce
  • 1–2 tomatoes, diced
  • ½ cup diced onion (optional)
  • 1–1½ cups sour cream
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce or queso (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Beef:
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Drain excess grease, then stir in taco seasoning with ⅓ cup water.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
2. Warm the Tortillas:
  • Microwave tortillas for 20–30 seconds so they’re soft and easier to fold without tearing.
3. Assemble Each Crunchwrap:
On each large tortilla, layer in the center in this order:
  • Scoop of seasoned ground beef
  • Drizzle with nacho cheese sauce
  • Place a tostada shell on top
  • Spread sour cream over the shell
  • Add lettuce, tomato, onions (if using)
  • Top with shredded cheese
4. Wrap It Up:
  • Fold the edges of the tortilla up and over the center (like folding petals in a flower).
  • If the tortilla doesn’t fully cover the center, cut a small piece from an extra tortilla and place it over the filling before folding.
5. Cook Until Golden:
  • Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Place the Crunchwrap seam-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes, pressing slightly.
  • Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and crispy.
Optional Add-ins:
  • Guacamole or sliced avocado
  • Hot sauce or jalapeños for heat
  • Refried beans or black beans for extra substance
