Rice Collagen Cream: No Wrinkles At Any Age
Asian beauty rituals have long celebrated rice for its skin-loving benefits. More than just a brightening agent, rice is now recognized for its collagen-boosting potential. As collagen production naturally declines with age, our skin begins to show signs like wrinkles, sagging, and dullness. This DIY rice collagen cream is designed to counteract those effects—by combining rice with aloe vera, vitamin E, rosehip oil, and raw honey, you get a deeply nourishing cream that firms, hydrates, and rejuvenates your skin, naturally and effectively.
Ingredients Required
This recipe makes around 50 ml—enough for 10–14 nightly applications.
2 tbsp cooked white rice or 1 tbsp rice flour – firms skin and promotes collagen production
1 tbsp fresh aloe vera gel (or 99% pure bottled gel) – soothes and hydrates skin deeply
1 tsp cold-pressed rosehip oil – rich in vitamin A and essential fatty acids
1 vitamin E capsule (or ½ tsp vitamin E oil) – protects skin from free radicals
1 tsp raw honey – acts as a humectant to lock in moisture
¼ tsp matcha or green tea powder – helps protect skin from environmental stress
Optional:
2 drops ferulic acid – enhances the stability and absorption of other antioxidants
Procedure
Make the Rice Base
If using whole rice: soak 2 tbsp of rice for 4 hours, then boil until soft. Blend with a little of the cooking water until smooth.
If using rice flour: mix 1 tbsp flour with 2 tbsp warm water to create a smooth paste.
Prepare the Cream Base
Place the rice paste in a heat-safe bowl over simmering water (double boiler).
Add aloe vera gel and stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the texture becomes creamy.
Add Nutrients
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Add honey, vitamin E oil, rosehip oil, and any optional boosters.
Mix thoroughly to form a smooth, uniform cream.
Store Properly
Transfer to a clean, dry 50 ml glass jar. Seal tightly and refrigerate.
The cream stays fresh for up to 14 days when stored in a cool, dry place.
