Ingredients:

    • 3 tablespoons of sugar
    • 1 cup of warm milk
    • 1 tablespoon of dry yeast
    • 1 can of sweetcorn (drained)
    • ½ cup oil
    • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of cornmeal
  • 500g wheat flour

Preparation method:

In a blender, combine the sugar, warm milk, and yeast. Blend briefly, just to activate the yeast.

Then add the corn, oil, eggs, and cornmeal. Blend until smooth.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and gradually add the wheat flour, mixing well after each addition.

Knead with your hands until you form a smooth, slightly sticky dough.

Cover with plastic wrap, a plastic bag, and a clean cloth, and let the dough rest until it doubles in size.

After rising, press it lightly with your hands to remove the air.

Divide the dough into small portions, roll each one out with a rolling pin and fold it over, joining ends together, forming balls.

Place the rolls on a buttered baking sheet, cover, and let rest for another hour.

Finally, brush with a little milk, sprinkle cornmeal on top and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
