- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 and a half tablespoons of demerara sugar (or 2 tablespoons of stevia )
- 100 ml of milk
- Zest of 1/2 lemon
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 50g melted butter
- 4 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 2 large apples (or 4 small ones)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (Royal or other brand)
Preparation method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a bowl, crack the eggs, add a pinch of salt, and beat them well until foamy.
Add the sugar (or stevia sweetener) to the beaten eggs and mix well.Â
Then pour in the milk, mix again and add the lemon zest.
Add half of the melted butter to the mixture, then add the flour in two additions, mixing well between each addition to form a smooth dough.
Peel the apples, remove the seeds and cores, and cut them into very thin slices. Drizzle with lemon juice and mix gently.
Add the sliced apples to the dough in two or three parts, mixing carefully.Â
