Biotin Laddu for Healthy Skin & Hair
Biotin, also known as Vitamin B7, is an essential nutrient that supports your overall health. It plays a crucial role in converting food into energy and is especially beneficial for your hair, nails, and skin. Biotin also supports a healthy pregnancy, helps manage blood sugar levels, and offers a range of other health benefits. One easy and delicious way to incorporate biotin into your diet is through biotin laddu, a nutrient-rich snack made from nuts, seeds, and dates. Best of all, this sugar-free and oil-free treat is incredibly easy to make at home.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1/4 cup roasted pumpkin seeds
- 1 cup roasted peanuts
- 1 cup dry coconut (shredded white dry coconut)
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup roasted sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup roasted flax seeds
- 8-10 dates (pitted)
- A pinch of salt
- 3-4 cardamom pods (for flavor)
Instructions:
- Roast the Nuts and Seeds:
- Heat a pan and add the dry peanuts and almonds. Roast them until golden brown, then set aside in a mixing bowl.
- In the same pan, dry roast the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and flax seeds. Once done, add a pinch of salt and mix them all together in the mixing bowl.
- Prepare the Date Paste:
- Remove the seeds from the dates and add them to a mixer grinder. Along with the dates, add the roasted peanuts, almonds, and the seed mixture to the grinder.
- Add the cardamom powder for flavor and blend everything into a fine paste.
- Mix and Shape:
- Once the paste is ready, transfer it to a plate and add the shredded coconut. Mix everything well.
- Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into round balls, shaping them into laddus.
- Store and Enjoy:
- Your biotin laddus are now ready to enjoy! Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate them to keep them fresh for a longer period.
Benefits:
These biotin laddus provide a good amount of biotin along with vital nutrients from the nuts and seeds. They’re an excellent snack or sweet treat that helps nourish your hair, skin, and nails.
Additional Tips:
- Grind the nuts and seeds longer for a smoother texture, or leave them chunkier if you prefer a bit more texture.
- Feel free to experiment with different nuts and seeds for variety. You can try using walnuts, cashews, or chia seeds for a unique twist.
- If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can add a natural sweetener like honey, though the dates should provide enough sweetness on their own.
These biotin laddus are a simple, delicious, and healthy way to nourish your body with the essential nutrients it needs. Enjoy this tasty treat as part of your daily routine to help promote strong hair and healthy skin!
