Creamed spinach gratin: an easy and delicious recipe with chicken breast

 

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of fresh spinach
  • 250 ml of heavy cream
  • 200 grams of cooked and shredded chicken breast
  • 100 grams of grated cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

 


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil and add the chopped garlic. Sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, shredded chicken, salt and pepper.
  5. Add the cooked spinach to the mixture and stir well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown.

Notes

  • You can substitute the chicken with ham or omit meat for a vegetarian option.
  • Add nutmeg for extra flavor to the cream.
