Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 cup (150g) dates, pitted Pitted dates add natural sweetness.
  • 1 cup 1 cup (100g) walnuts Use walnuts for a crunchy texture.
  • 1 cup 1 cup (80g) shredded coconut Unsweetened shredded coconut recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons cocoa powder Adds a hint of chocolate flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons coconut oil Melted coconut oil helps bind the mixture.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the dates, walnuts, shredded coconut, cocoa powder, and coconut oil.
  2. Blend everything together until it forms a sticky mixture.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into a small pan lined with parchment paper.
  4. Place the pan in the refrigerator and let it chill until the bars are firm, about 1-2 hours.
  5. Once set, remove from the pan and cut into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can freeze these bars for up to three months. Try adding a pinch of sea salt or vanilla extract for extra flavor.
