Loaded Cheeseburger Bread
Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion, salt, and pepper until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Roll out the refrigerated French bread dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the ketchup and mustard evenly over the dough, then layer the cooked beef mixture, chopped pickles, crumbled turkey bacon, and American cheese on top.
- Roll the dough up tightly, starting from one end, and place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the top of the rolled bread with the beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds over it for that classic touch.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and deliciously fragrant.
- Allow the Loaded Cheeseburger Bread to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with a side of Thousand Island dressing for dipping.
Notes
Feel free to customize the filling to your taste. Add sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños for an extra kick. You can prepare the filling ahead of time and roll up the bread just before baking for a quick meal.
